Planet Ballroom International is proud to present the five year anniversary of our prestigious Southern Paradise Ball! The Southern Paradise Ball is the South’s premier Ballroom & Latin dance competition and it is hosted by Planet Ballroom founders Thomas and Elizabeth Malvasia.
One of the most exciting aspects of learning to Ballroom dance is getting the opportunity to participate in glamorous events such as the Southern Paradise Ball. Students and teachers from across the southeast join us each year to strut their stuff on the competition dance floor in hopes of winning titles, prizes and awards! The months of preparation ahead will be worthwhile when you step out onto the dance floor for the first time. It’s a most exhilarating and rewarding moment!
For students of Planet Ballroom studios, we offer you all the opportunity to attend a beautiful world class dance event right here in Charlotte, North Carolina! Our teachers will soon be preparing competition packages and planning championship goals for each of you. For those of you with a competitive edge, the Southern Paradise Ball will be one of the most exciting moments of your life! If competing isn’t your cup of tea, then you may be pleased to find out that the Southern Paradise Ball holds a newcomer division that is designed to give you a fun dance experience with helpful tips that will encourage you to progress your dancing to the next level! Either way, the Southern Paradise Ball is fun, fun, fun!
This year, to commemorate its five year anniversary, the Southern Paradise Ball will be moving to Saturday instead of its usual Sunday schedule. This is largely to be more accommodating to studios that will be traveling to participate, but is also because we will be adding a late night afterhours party! In past years the Southern Paradise Ball has held between four and eight championships; this year we will be hosting twenty! The competition has never been better; the prizes have never been bigger! Don’t miss the Ballroom dance event of the year! It’s right here in beautiful Charlotte, North Carolina and it’s the epitome of all that is Planet Ballroom!
